Parent-Based Group Therapy for Children with Anxiety or OCD in Okinawa, Japan

About:

  • SPACE stands for Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions and is a parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety, OCD, and related problems.

  • SPACE was developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz at the Yale Child Study Center and has been tested and found to be effective in randomized controlled clinical trials.

  • Dr. Hannah has been trained in SPACE therapy by Dr. Lebowitz.

Group Therapy:

  • 8-week Parent-Based Telehealth Group with up to 6 Participants

  • Appropriate for:

    • Children/Teens displaying anxious tendencies

    • Children /Teens with past-diagnosed anxiety disorders and/or OCD

  • You, the caregiver, will learn how best to respond to anxiety. You will also create an individualized plan for your child based on their needs.
